Jake is an executive producer with over 15 years’ experience as a show-runner on productions for the major UK networks. His career has spanned light entertainment, reality, factual entertainment and features.
Before co-founding Appeal Films and Appeal TV he was Commissioning Editor for entertainment and reality at MTV, where he looked after shows including Geordie Shore, Ex on The Beach and Just Tattoo Of Us.
Iain Thompson - Co-Founder
‘Thompy’ is an award winning Director and Executive Producer, renowned for working with big name talent. He is currently making the eagerly anticipated documentary ‘Ant and Dec’s DNA Journey’ for ITV1.
Other credits include Ewan McGregor’s Cold Chain Mission, Gary Barlow’s Journey to Afghanistan, Last laugh in Vegas and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! He is also one of the pioneers of TV shows like Soccer Aid for Unicef and Red Nose Day USA.
Richard Curtis described his work as “game changing” and he was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by UNICEF in recognition of his work in this area.
Sally Evans - Head of Factual Entertainment
Sally is an award winning Executive Producer with a successful track record of developing and winning factual and factual entertainment commissions with all the major UK broadcasters. Sally is responsible for growing Appeal’s Fact Ent and talent led factual slate for the UK and international markets.
Before joining Appeal, Sally worked for ten years for the itv label, Shiver where she led development for the division as well as overseeing a slate of primetime and daytime shows in Manchester and London.
Her credits include Michael Apted’s 63Up series, 7Up and Me, Gino’s Italian Escape, Embarrassing Pets, Last Laugh in Vegas, Gary Barlow: Journey to Afghanistan, Fierce with Steve Backshall, Nation’s Favourite Walks: Top 100, Coastal Lives with Robson Green and My Big Fat Asian Wedding.
Amanda De Freitas - Development Executive
Amanda joined Appeal TV in 2019 and has responsibility for expanding the company’s slate, creating and developing new entertainment formats for both the UK and international markets.
Amanda has been involved in a number of successful, high profile commissions for BBC and ITV and with over twenty years of production experience, has worked at a senior level on some of the highest rating shows on TV including Dancing On Ice, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Total Wipeout, Take Me Out, Soccer Aid, Hell’s Kitchen, All Star Family Fortunes, Coach Trip, Pointless, The National Lottery Jet Set, The Weakest Link, and BAFTA nominated, My Wonderful Life.
Susi Hollins - Head of Production and Operations
Susi joined Appeal from Production Executive roles at Optomen TV and Vice Studios, and was previously Head of Production at Lola Entertainment. She has worked in production across a broad range of programming, including entertainment, reality, comedy, hidden camera, factual and documentary. Career highlights have included "John Bishop's Britain" for BBC, "Derren Brown: Apocalypse" for Channel 4 and "Football Icon" for Sky.
Susi is responsible for overseeing the management of all Appeal TV and Appeal Films productions from development through to delivery, including oversight of finance, business affairs and company operations.
